The Shart Reef was just ok. Hard to see some of the tanks at times due to people crowding around them. The hand held reciever helped to know what your looking at. Price was ok, If anything it gets you away from the casino for awhile. The walk back too the reef wasn't that bad, I think they change it from the last time I walked it (but didn't pay to see at that time)It seemed a lot shorter. The kids I observed we're very impressed, so if you have children I would recomend. They get a cut on the price too. I think around $11.00.

This was your typical aquarium but the displays and set up makes it fun. There is a interactive area where you can touch stingrays. I did:)

This is so worth your money, 15 dollars what a steal! It beautiful, plenty of room to see and I'm short so if I can see anybody can! Have to visit the touch tank. You get to pet stingrays and sharks. Loved the shark reef so much I went to see it twice!

Good, but your enjoyment may be governed by what kind of people you're surrounded with.
If you visit this place while a bunch of inconsiderate jerks are present, you won't like it. But, if you're there with people who are considerate enough to keep things moving, it's great.
We had a mixture of both. Some people just wouldn't leave certain exhibits in a prudent fashion, and almost forced us to move on and miss things.
That was my only complaint -- the patrons.
I would advise going early in the morning to avoid the crowds and get the full benefit of this terrific exhibit.

I've seen larger & better aquariums elsewhere. It's ok for kids but you can go through the whole thing in a matter of minutes. The $16 price was too too much for this. I would say for what it's worth it shouldn't cost more than $10 per adult. Wouldn't recomend wasting money on this one.

If you have ever been to one of the huge aquariums like we have in Chatanooga, do not waste your money on this! Awful! I spent $16 on something that I could literally walk through in about 30 seconds if I did not stop at any of the exhibits. Stopping at the exhibits, I think I spent about 10 minutes in there maybe. I got to the end and saw the exit...I thought I must have gotten lost so I pulled out the map they hand you (not sure what the purpose of the map was)...that was it, I had really seen everything.

Please, don't waste your time or money on this. If you are desperate to see an aquarium there is one in Caesar's right outside Cheesecake Factory! It is free and just as good, serious!

Many of the previous reviews have already described the attraction quite succinctly so I will only point out that the Shark Reef is definitely worth it to see especially if you have never been to Vegas. For what you get the ticket is a little pricey but the time they have taken to make a quality display of rare animals and fish is noteworthy. I especially like the fact that they give you a cellphone like device so that you can listen on your own to narratives about each display/animal. This allows you to roam and take everything in at your own pace. As a comparison the Aquarium in Long Beach California is much bigger but you will not see the same variety of animals as you do in the Shark Reef and you will pay a lot more at the LB Aquarium. I actually visited this Shark Reef display twice. Once when my wife and I visited Vegas three years ago and again when we brought our children. My eight year old boy was absolutely fascinated with the sharks and spent over thirty minutes in the main shark viewing shipwreck room. Overall if you do not have inquisitive children thirty minutes tops is about all it will take to view everything and perhaps much less without listening to the audio portion on the listening device.

GORGEOUS! NOT TO BE MISSED! If you've got kids or are looking for something really different... head over to Mandalay Resort where water is where it's at! Hidden Aztec rainforests, tropical aquariums and acrylic tubes with sharks swimming overhead... oh my!

After the 10 minute hike through the casino and back halls we were disappointed with the results. As a salt water fish owner/keeper (175 gal 8y/o aquarium) I found this to be VERY dull, and not worth the money. The fish were blah, and the sharks were few and far between. forget about pictures, all you will get is a picture of your flash and if you turn the flash off, eveything is too dark. Go to your local fish store and see more fish. A disappointment for me, but to each is own.

Great place to visit with kids and it allowed the visitor to have a personal encounter with the fish. Overall it was real great but a little pricey and it was set in to dark of a setting. If the place was lit up alot more it would have been alot better. Also it was all walking they did not have any moving walkways. Really nice but it is something you should only see once.

Not worth it, due to the lack of scope. There just weren't enough interesting exhibits and viewing areas. Better to visit a good aquarium or zoo in a another city. 2 alligators, 1 jellyfish tank (all the same species), 1 big lizard-thing, the touch tank, a handful of large fish tanks (with many cool fish), and the centerpiece which is their shipwreck with huge viewing windows all around, and many sharks swimming by. Takes about 30 minutes to see everything, 10 minutes if you don't bother listening to the audio.

AWESOME! You can take the tram from Excalibur (or Luxor) to Mandalay Bay, it is a bit of a walk - but if it hurts just going that distance then maybe a *walk* through attraction ISN'T what you should do. However, for those who don't mind it and want to see some very memorable things...GO! I went alone, and although, I'm not one for sight-seeing by myself, I will never forget it! The Jelly fish tank was awesome, the pictures of the sharks - shark tank and crystal-clear tunnels - will be used to awe friends and family who've never been.
I touched , listened, and learned about a fascinating world - for one of the cheapest amounts I had spent my entire trip! $10-$15 is worth the price!!

Yup, it's like walking about a mile inside the hotel to get to this place, whew! It's a bit pricey but we all enjoyed the displays. Some of our favorites were the touch pool, the jelly fish tank and the big shark tank at the end. The audio wands were great for teaching the kids (and us) about these wonderous creatures of the sea.

Very nice zoo. You see quite a few different animals (yes, its a lot more than just sharks and fish). If you take the time to listen to the information on each animal (with a handheld wand), it will take a while to go through. But its also enjoyable for kids, to just look at the animals. Had a great time.

Finally made it to the Shark Reef on our 4th trip to Vegas. Pricey, but a nice change of pace from the usual Strip scene. Some of the older sharks were worth the price of admission alone. Touch pool was nice. Educational theme was a nice touch too. Be sure to take your time and get your money's worth!

Long walk to get there, but once you're there, it's great. A little pricey, but good to do once. A good amount of attractions with different animals, fun facts with the audio wand, and you can take as much time as you want. The touch pool was fun. Lots of people, so pick a down time to go.

This was not only a -very- long walk, but WE HAD TO DO IT TWICE! Because we didn't see the hours posted ANYWHERE, first time we went it was CLOSED, I didn't know fish sleep at night! Did they close because of needing employees? There weren't any... we had tour guide wands and there was deffinately no one monitoring the pet tank, or someone could have told that stupid parent to CONTROL her kid. The tank with the hammerhead was so dark, you could hardly see it, let alone take a picture of it. The experience overall was good, there were many different species to see and learn about besides the sharks, overall it's worth the trip and the price.

The Shark Reef was great. The kids loved it, and so did we two adults. The touch pool was our favorite part. The only bad thing about the experience was the long wait to get in, but that was to be expected--zillions of people were in Vegas for Christmas and New Year's.

This was fabulous, especially the end of the tour. I think the $20 may be a bit much, especially considering how far you have to drag the kids through the hotel to get there but they definitely seem to love it.

When you are warned of the long walk to get there, people aren't kidding. You walk all the way through the casino, through the mall, through the convention center, and then you arrive at the reef. I do think the price is a bit steep for what you see, however it is neat to be in the tunnel with the sharks swimming around you. The touch pool is also fun, rays feel slimey, who knew? Again a nice yet pricey diversion from the hub bub of the casino, just wear sneakers.

Would have been great for 5 bucks and if we could skip the first hour or so. Long ass wait, annoying tour guide, and boring creatures and weak sharks the size of an infant child. The last stage is impressive. Tunnel under the shark tanks and actual adult large sharks. Also the sea turtles and sting rays were cool too but again, wish we could have skipped the first hour, and the overcharge.

An awesome shark tank that lets you appreciate the grace of these creatures of the sea. Gives you
the best idea of what it would be like to swim with them of any exhibit I've ever seen
